Message from TPC Group – Traffic Control
Following Tuesday’s CAP Meeting, TPC has looked into the concerns voiced by CAP Members regarding traffic along Lawndale. While we all understand any traffic delay feels excessive when we are attempting to get from point A to point B, we want to make sure we, and our contractors are following the appropriate processes and procedures to ensure safe and steady flow.
TPC followed up with our contractor providing traffic control services during the Phoenix Construction Project in order to address the concern traffic is being held up or delayed in order for the parking lot at Lawndale to empty. We were assured the off-duty officers follow the same protocols as they would if engaged in any government sanctioned event. That is, they alternate holding traffic on the street, and vehicles exiting the parking facility in order to prevent excessive back up and delay from either direction. Upon further discussion and investigation of these concerns, TPC is comfortable in the fact everything is being done to maintain a safe, effective and fair flow traffic pattern for all those involved.
Should there still be any concern regarding this matter, I hope our community will let us know. We welcome the feedback and discussion. In the meantime, I will follow up with our community members in the coming weeks, and ongoing, to ensure satisfactory operations throughout the duration of construction.
If there are any questions, please let me know.
Thank you.
