TPC – Tuesday, September 25, 2012

This is an update on the power outage that occurred at TPC Group, located at 8600 Park Place Blvd on Sunday, September 23.  TPC response personnel have restored the power necessary to eliminate flaring from the facility.

Throughout this event, the safety of our neighbors, employees and the community remained key in our response team’s efforts to achieve normal operating status.   We do apologize for the inconvenience this issue may have caused.

TPC – Monday, September 24, 2012

Today is Monday, September 24.  This is a courtesy notification to inform our neighbors that TPC Group, located at 8600 Park Place Blvd., sounded its alarm at approximately 3:40 p.m. due to a grass fire in the south side of our operating facility. Emergency response personnel quickly responded, contained the area and was able to extinquish the fire. There was no impact offsite.  The ALL CLEAR alarm was sounded at approximately 4:10 p.m.  A message was also posted on the CARE Line at 281.476.2237.

TPC – Sunday, September 23, 2012

At approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, TPC Group lost power in several areas of the plant due to an electrical outage.  This resulted in flaring and smoke from our facility.  TPC Group has been working in close coordination with local emergency officials, as well as Harris County Pollution Control throughout the afternoon.  Based on the monitoring data at this time, there is no need for the community to take action.  We continue to monitor the situation and will continue to provide updates as necessary.  We do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
