GENERAL MESSAGE WAS POSTED TO THE CAER LINE BY AT 2015-08-27 09:14:44 FOR [5] HOURS\This is an update to the 0815hrs courtesy message on Thursday, August 26, 2015 from the LyondellBasell Bayport Polymers Plant at 12001 Bay Area Boulevard in Pasadena. We are continuing to conduct a CIMA drill of our emergency response procedures. There is a fire on the Chevron pipeline skid and the fire is contained. Plant monitoring shows no off-site impact. Smoking may be visible and audible alarms may be heard. There is no need for community members to be concerned or take any action. On Saturday, August 29nd from 7AM to approximately 5PM, we will conduct a test of our alarm system in order to confirm effectiveness of recent microphone upgrades aimed at feedback elimination. During this time,2 live audible messages will be repeatedly broadcast across building speakers indoors and alarm towers outdoors. This will not involve tones or prerecorded messages, only brief live page announcements throughout the day. Although unlikely, this testing may be audible to limited parts of the community.
