Update on Oak Meadows Park

UPDATE ON OAK MEADOWS PARK……. Today the Civic Club had a very productive conversation with the Houston Parks Board …. Here’s the data…

  • Pavilion supply chain issues will ship in early September in the US and arrive in the middle of the month.
  • Completion date: TBD
  • Two stolen BBQ pit: City of Houston Parks will be replaced once completion has been reached with the renovation.
  • The volleyball net will not stay at Park 24/7; it will be coordinated through an officer of Civic Club for use when needed.
  • Walking trail portions will be resurfaced.
  • LED lighting around Park.
  • No bicycles signs on walking trail
  • Sponsors that donated above $250,000 will be recognized (Port of Houston & Valero) Invista and TPC will be recognized during the ribbon cutting ceremony.
  • Ribbon cutting would be in October.
